Brilliant stay at Bumble cottage, its in a very peaceful location, very close to the beach which was great with two little ones. Jason was perfect throughout, even texting to check we got there ok and to wish us a safe journey home. So many little extras were at the cottage which was brilliant and jason even left a gift basket for us! Lovely holiday!
Bumble Cottage is a lovely place to stay. Situated about halfway up the village in a great location so everything is an easy walk away. The cottage itself has everything you need for a comfortable stay. 10/10. Great value for money.
The property is located in the quiet town of Combe Martin and is set back from the High Street in a very quiet location. The property is well presented throughout and is ideally placed for touring North Devon coastal places such as Clovelly, Woolacombe etc. There are three pubs and a good restaurant within walking distance. The walk to the beach is through the town and takes about 20 minutes. There are a number of pubs there also, coffee bars and places to eat. We had a very good stay.

The cottage is absolutely perfect. It has everything you need for the best getaway, a real home-from-home, with lovely touches from the owners. Great for a base to explore the best of N. Devon and lovely for a cosy night in too. Highly recommend Bumble Cottage.
Lovely stay, great cottage, we found the sitting room particularly nice as the sofa and armchairs were so comfy. There was a hamper to greet us and communication was great. Jason was very helpful, I asked if I could send a birthday banner to the cottage and Jason kindly arranged for his cleaner to put it up for me, which gave my mum a lovely surprise. We visited during the storms, the views at Coombe Martin beach of the crashing waves were amazing. We visited the House of Cards pub one evening for a drink and the landlord opened the museum up for us to look around when we asked about its history. We had a great day out in Ilfracombe and went a few other local beaches. A great place to stay!
Spent 3 nights at Bumble Cottage. Very warm and comfortable.
Jason is an excellent host and maintained communication throughout our stay. The cottage was well located for a daily walk to the beach and we enjoyed exploring the nearby footpaths. The cottage was cosy and well provisioned (apart from a corkscrew) 😉 We were there over Christmas and the weather was wet and windy, but when we couldn't get out, we enjoyed putting our feet up and relaxing in the cottage. It was a very relaxing and rejunvinating stay.
We had a lovely time staying here. Loved the homely and comfortable cottage, we spent 4 nights here in October and were kept toasty and warm with the central heating and extra thick walls! We spent our days at the beach in woolacombe and Combe Martin and our evenings in the cottage and eating out at the pack of cards (playing cards with our 15yr old son!) It was a short but well needed break and we will hopefully return in the spring 2022. Thank you Jason for making everything so straight forward and giving us all the information we needed.
Bumble Cottage is the perfect comfortable holiday cottage in the village of Combe Martin, located just off the main road and an easy 20 minute walk to the harbour front. It was immaculately clean and had added thoughtful touches such as welcome wine, maps and books, condiments, tea and coffee and lots more which really makes a difference to the stay. Utilities are all there including fridge and freezer, washing machine and a private back garden that has a sun trap for both enjoying and to dry your beach ware. Jason was kind enough to not only to provide a hairdryer but straighteners as well- the latter was a first find for a seasoned AirBNB stayer although neither were used as it was too hot. Nice touch though. The area has almost Mediterranean type gorgeous coves to swim in, away from the harbour if one is adventurous enough to either clamber or kayak to and if the tide times are taken into account. We were blessed with gorgeous hot weather so didn’t have time to do anything but swim, although we had brought bikes to ride on the Tarka trail. We found a public path behind the church we takes you to several large fields for our dog to roam about and away from the traffic - a 4km round trip which we did daily. Jason was extremely responsive with any communication. It was a perfect summer stay. Thanks so much!
Jason is a great host. Communications excellent. His cottage exceeded our expectations. It is charming, spacious, comfortable, quiet, very well equipped. Everything was spotlessly clean and COVID-19 secure. Many thoughtful touches. The back garden was a delightful place to relax during sunny evenings. Well located for visiting Lynmouth & Lynton (harbour and cliff railway), Croyde (village and beach), RHS Rosemoor, Clovelly. Highly recommended

The cottage was lovely and we throughly enjoyed our stay there. Plenty of room, comfy sofas and plenty of wardrobe space. The garden is a lovely place to sit and read. There are lots of great walks around and places to visit. Jason has a great book of the area (we had bought the same one ourselves) and useful leaflets and info of the area. As others stated follow the directions carefully as it is easy to miss the turning. Unless you travel extremely light it is far easier to unload by the archway and go in the front way - once you have accessed the key safe at the back. There was large sanitiser available on the coffee table which we thought was very useful in these times. Took us about 20 mins to walk to the beach and it is a great little place there. Superb (tho quite strenuous) walk from the beach up to the hills the little and great hangman. The fish and chips at the chip shop there are superb - though you will most likely have to queue - the one right near the cottage was closed when we were there and it did look permanent. Places we ate at in the evening were pack o cards (good sunday lunch), ye olde globe inn (great food and service tho very miserable landlord!), Sawmills, again very good and the thatched inn - again very good tho limited menu. Would advise you book before you go as pretty busy.
Lovely little cottage. Very well equipped with all visitors needs considered. The cottage is spotless and has comfortable beds. Garden is a sun trap. Very quiet but close enough to amenities in the village. Lots of places to eat and a supermarket in driving distance. We had a lovely relaxing stay.
Well presented cottage on a long road leading to Combe Martin beach area. Cottage had everything you'd need and was clean and tidy & warm. Lovely bathroom and shower. Steep steps to rear access, slope to front, small car parking space to rear. Once you read the beach you can pick up the well signposted North Devon Coastal walks which I can recommend, beautiful and scenic, many ups and downs!
A comfortable, cosy traditional stone cottage in Coombe Martin, about a mile from the Harbour. Really well equipped for our stay with some thoughtful touches. Communication throughout was excellent. A really good base for exploring the beautiful North Devon and Exmoor areas.
So if you have mobility issues don’t go to bumble cottage However we do not - a sparking clean quaint cottage tucked away in Combe Martin - great location to explore North Devon Jason was a fantastic host comms before during & after were immediate and reassuring. Great customer service, lots of local insight and advice (Sandy Cove Hotel for drinks or dinner on patio being one!) The cottage was perfect comfy bed, good kitchen amenities & the terraced patio at back was real sun trap. With all the solar lights in the evening it twinkled. Fully recommend the cottage & our dogs do too! Thanks
Jason's place is in a lovely position within the village and the North Devon coast, generally. It is clean and cosy and has everything you could need. A perfect spot for a rural break.
We’ve just returned from a 4 night stay at Bumble Cottage. What a fabulous place to stay... quaint and cosy. The cottage has everything you need and Jason makes you feel very welcome. The location is perfect for exploring North Devon. Coombe Martin itself has plenty to offer.... nice pubs, places to eat and a lovely little beach. Would love to visit the area during spring/summer and if so would definitely return to Bumble Cottage.
A fantastic little cottage in a wonderful location. Some lovely touches such as a welcome pack and a pint of milk in the fridge on arrival. Kitchen was well equipped to make our own meals which we did on a couple of nights. Some great local pubs around too but you need to book in advance and most stop serving food at 7.30/8pm. Coombe Martin itself was beautiful and within a 30/40 minute drive were some real gems such as Woolacombe beach, Braunton burrows (leading to Saunton sands) and Lynmouth where you can take the cliff railway to Lynton. Thank you to Jason for his very clear instructions and quick replies, we hope to visit again soon :)

Lovely cosy homely cottage. Jason is a great host and very helpful. The cottage is equipped with everything you will need. When we went into Combe Martin and the beach we walked. It took us about 20 mins. There is a lot of information in the cottage on things to do and Jason has lots of suggestions in the details for the cottage. We wish we could have used the garden a bit more but the weather wasn't on our side. When finding the cottage it is hidden away and not visible from the road where the sat nav takes you. Jason sends a map and details on how to find the parking space, I suggest you have these to hand you will need them. We recommend the Pack O Cards for Sunday Lunch and the Galleon Tea Rooms if your wanting to eat out. We loved our stay and the surrounding areas. We hope to return in the future and see and do the things we didn't get chance to do.

Great place to stay, cosy little cottage, very central to Combe Martin.
Super cottage, clean and well equipped. Lovely new bathroom with lush shower. Elderly dog struggled with the back steps, but had been highlighted in descriptions so not a criticism.
We had a great time at Bumblebee Cottage. We loved the extra touches, like milk in the fridge for our arrival, hair straighteners in the bedroom and shower gel in the shower! The cottage was beautifully clean, well equipped and the guest book was really helpful for tips about the local area. Staying in February meant we needed the heating on a little but the cottage was warm and cosy in next to no time. We hired bikes in Fremington and cycled the Tarka Trail, had fish and chips in Combe Martin and spent some very happy hours on Woolacombe Beach. Definitely recommend Pack o' Cards pub down the road for Sunday carvery too. Travelling as a family, with children aged 8 and 5, Bumblebee Cottage was perfect. Thanks for a great stay!
Bumble Cottage is fabulous. Very clean and tidy, comfortable and spacious. Great location within easy reach to the town on foot. We loved it as a family of 3 with a dog. The communication with the host Jason was spot on. Combe Martin is so well located to visit the surrounding areas. Would highly recommend, we didn’t want to leave.

We can very much recommend bumble cottage and would definitely visit again. The cottage was cosy, clean, well equipped , modern , ideally situated to explore north Devon everything was perfect for our first family holiday . It was a pleasure to stay at the bumblebee cottage. The house is very cosy and lovely. It is also well equipped and very clean. We enjoyed our stay so, so much and would like to thank Jason again. The location is also lovely - the seaside is only 20 minutes from the cottage away. It is a nice walk to the town centre and beach. Lovely cottage, lovely location, great host. The pictures don't do it justice, beautiful very private garden, large living/dining room with super comfy sofa and beautiful feature fireplace. The bathroom is new and nicely finished and the shower is fantastic. Very comfy beds and good heavy curtains, which with the peace and quite assured a good sleep. The walk into Combe Martin takes about 25 minutes where there are some nice places to eat and drink, hire a kayak or have fun on the beach and there is a very good store 10 minutes walk away.
